A couple years ago I decided I was going to do a 30 day juice cleanse.
I had done weight watchers, south beach, Atkins, and the rest of the gambit diets out there. I was spiraling until I saw a guy named Joe Cross on YouTube talking about fresh juices.
He was using raw fruits and vegetables to make a drink. Recipes would be focused into certain ailments like high blood pressure, weight loss, and a whole spectrum of types aimed at different ailments.
I ended up buy a Breville Juicer and started making my own juice. It started out as a juice a day at lunch time but, I started liking the results I was seeing.
I started a 30 day juice cleanse, by myself, and though that was many years ago, it wasn’t until I met Jessica, owner of JUICE APOTHECARY in the Hickory Arcade Tunnel across from the Carolina Theatre in our Downtown I started opening up the idea of drinking raw vegetable/fruit juices again.
We sat down with Jessica to talk about the benefits of raw vegetable and fruit juice for others, how it’s help her personally, and how she makes it taste so much better than stuff I was making!
Hope you enjoy our YouTube spotlight with her, we did.
